FAQ
Question: What does Loloson stand for?
Answer:
Lolo was my father’s name his grandchildren would call him by. The name Loloson is derived from the fact, that I am Lolo’s son. As in a Scandinavian surname, I am Loloson.
Question: Why Portugal?
Answer:
It began with surfing – riding waves is my passion, and Portugal offers the best conditions in Europe. But over time, it’s become so much more: I’ve fallen in love with the country, its people, and its rich culture – by now I can’t imagine calling anywhere else home.
Question: What is a digital twin?
Answer:
A digital twin is a dynamic, virtual replica of a physical asset, process or system that mirrors its real-world counterpart throughout its lifecycle.
In the context of product visualisation, a digital twin is the combination of 3D geometry of your product with all relevant product data – material variants, physical attributes, label variations, configuration rules, and more – to create a single, interactive source of truth.
This fuels our CGI content production processes.
Question: Do I need 3D data to start with?
Answer:
No. Even though existing 3D data (for example from product design) is a great starting point – the absence of 3D data is not a showstopper. We can create the digital twin(s) of your product(s) based on whatever input you have, for example: design-files, physical product, CAD, product photos, etc. The digital twins of your products will be your property, that we manage for you and use on your projects.
Question: Do you use Ai at Loloson?
Answer:
Yes — we use AI as part of our production processes.
We see AI as a powerful tool that enhances what we do, not something that replaces it.
At the core of every project is human creativity, judgment, and experience. AI helps us work faster, explore ideas, and scale production, but the creative direction, quality control, and final decisions always remain in human hands.
We also believe in a responsible and mindful use of AI. Generating large volumes of content with little intention or high waste does not align with our values. Instead, we focus on targeted, efficient use, creating exactly what is needed, with purpose and precision.
Question: I’m hesitant, is it difficult to work across borders?
Answer:
No, that’s why we have the EU. It’s extremely simple and straight forward and your accounting team or tax accountants know exactly how to do it.
